Laura Toll was excellent with my mom! she was very patient, she took her time to explain the process, the update, features of using the Starkey app, and how to get the full benefit of her hearing aids. Not to mention they have such wonderful and friendly staff.

Rita Murphy is excellent in figuring out what hearing aid best suits your needs… especially troubleshooting reasons that are UNIQUE to your individual hearing problem. One hearing aid DOES NOT fit all!

We took our infant son here to get his state mandated newborn hearing screening. It seems they were not used to doing this type of care, and did not have the exact equipment. Nevertheless, they did the screening, but filed it with our insurance as an “office visit” meaning that insurance did not know it was preventative care, which would have been covered. Their office refused to change the filing with our insurance after repeated phone calls, even though they understood the issue. I can’t speak to their quality for actual problem visits, but for preventative screening, go see someone else who will treat you better.

Dr. Chrosniak is very skilled and thorough. She has a wonderful bedside manner--very reassuring, great listener, highly knowledgeable. She has worked with my whole family for years, from routine preventative care to operations. I have never had any issues with the front office staff, as mentioned by another reviewer.

I agree with the reviewer who commented on lack of medical equipment. My first visit I came in for ear pain and Dr. Chrosniak told me the suction machine was broken (3 doctors in the practice but only one machine). This was after she irrigated my ears and had no way to dry them and remove anything left behind. She put alcohol in only one of my ears to try to dry it and kind of rushed me out the door. Not sure why she only did one ear. I think she was distracted. I don’t mind that she has no personality but if you’re also going to be distracted and forgetful then I have an issue. 2 months later I saw Dr. Schwartzbauer. I had a lot of discomfort in the ear that her colleague did not dry. Coincidence I think not. Again, they lack medical equipment. She said the other doctor had the microscope so it was unavailable. My ear is clearly severely infected but she told me to try drops. She didn’t do anything for my ear and walked me out. I’ve never had an ENT doctor tell me that my ear is so inflamed they can’t do anything for it. No oral antibiotics, nothing. I’ve been having ear aches since age 5 and I’ve always been able to get relief from ENT, until I moved to Olney and tried this practice. The drops won’t go in due to inflammation (she did not even give me a cotton wick). I called when they opened and explained I am in severe pain and have a fever. I’m dizzy, nauseous, have the chills. The pain in my head is extreme. Drops are not a solution for something this bad. They could not fit me in until 2pm. So I said forget it, I’ll find a more compassionate doctor who will squeeze me in sooner. Be warned- if a practice with multiple doctors does not have medical equipment in every room that is a huge red flag. If something breaks, they literally have no backup. Crazy how Dr. Chrosniak went to Harvard but her standards are so low. Lauren from the reception desk also seems cold and didn’t even try to fake it that she felt bad for me. I work in customer service myself and I don’t l know how she is qualified to be the first point of contact when she’s totally monotone and lacks compassion. The other receptionist is excellent. Can’t remember her name.

Editing to add: I found a new ENT who confirmed I had a severe infection. He actually prescribed me oxycodone for the pain. He gave me a wick, drops, and oral meds. He asked "did you go to urgent care?" I said "no, I went to an ENT." He said "wow, this is a major infection. An ENT saw you?" He could not believe it was misdiagnosed as dermatitis by an ENT. I also told him how when they called me back they said "Schwartzbauer says you SHOULD be seen today." The question was not if I SHOULD be seen. There was NO DOUBT I needed to be seen TODAY. The question was HOW SOON can I come in. There are too many doctors like Shrosniak, Schwartzbauer who gaslight patients. When someone says they are in severe pain, they should be taken seriously. Not casually told "ok you should be seen today." It should be "we are so sorry for not realizing the severity of this yesterday. Please come in ASAP." They are not business-minded though. They also sent me a letter in the mail informing me I'm no longer a patient, which is hilarious. They paid $8 for priority mail. What a joke. Like I was ever going to try to go back there for urgent-care level service!
