I wish there was a zero Star option! Run to a different Gym as fast as you can. This is the worst Gym I've ever belonged too. They lock you into a 2 year contract and won't let you out of it even when they are the one in breach of such contract by taking maintenance fees from every member twice a year and fixing nothing. There is equipment broken down all over the place. The only two recumbent bikes have been broken for months. TV's broken on multiple pieces of equipment. The TV on the only upright bike freezes after 30 seconds and much much more. STAY AWAY!

If I could give them a negative review I would. READ THIS!! ANYTIME FITNESS COMNPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT FEMALE EMPLOYEES!
I started a job in December as a manager at Anytime Fitness Bandon owned here in Avon Park now I enjoyed my job. I liked my members I was getting the club built up. I was doing a lot of work. I was setting up events for my club I was building it up. I was meeting my goals.
Now this is where things have gotten to the point where this company does not care about female employees and they continue to let a 40 year old man that is 6 foot intimidate women with his large stature as well as he likes to yell and scream at women and tell them it’s their fault when things aren’t going right for him. And that people are leaving because of us and that we shouldn’t be there and that we don’t do anything when all he does is sleep and doesn’t do his job. He has not once met his goal since I’ve been there starting at the end of December.
With the latest incident being Friday June 21st. It started with a verbal altercation. That he continued to escalate to the point of chasing me out of the building and trying to chase down my vehicle, and he continued to yell and scream at me while I was leaving to de-escalate the situation. I reached out to my higher-ups as this has happened multiple times before with him, and he has done it to another female employee, and all they did was relocate her to a different location and did not handle the situation at all.
The pictures below have more info as they like to claim they didn’t know about it, and I have text messages from other higher-ups that said they have know about it and did nothing and then this morning I woke up to find out I no longer had my job and they have not reached out to me once to let me know, and they still have kept him in the building. it shows they do not care about female employees nor their members.
I would also like to state that I’m not the first victim that this has happened to in my room with this company.
I’d also like to point out the discrimination and mistreatment of myself at this company during my pregnancy. I had higher-ups telling coworkers that during their pregnancy they were not missing work or they were going to the hospital on weekends to get IV drips. that after I lost my child, my boss told my coworker while at least she’ll be here more and also told another higher up that she doesn’t understand why I needed time off since when she had a miscarriage she was back at work the next day. She also told me I had to be back within less than two weeks when I was traveling home to Wisconsin to see my family after I lost my child because my club was opening back up. Beyond the stressful and hostile work environment there was physical stress on my body due to my location, being severely infested with black mold. Which I was never informed about and only found out when they close the club for “renovations”. When they were actually having a hazmat team do ozone treatments. I believe all of these factors may have caused or lead up to my miscarriage.

I wouldn't recommend this place. First of all, nobody responds until a week later, so if you have issues with your key fob, you'll have to wait until someone cares enough to reply. Second, the contract is terrible because even if they violate the terms, such as not allowing you to use equipment, you still have to pay even though they aren't providing you with a service. Lastly, they charge around $50 a month just for an extra 5 lbs in weight. If you're trying to be a weightlifter, you might like it, but if you're just working out to be healthy, there are way better options than this gym. For example, I'm having issues with my key fob and still haven't gotten a reply in the past 2 days yet I'll still be charged $50 this month for an issue that isn't even on my end. In addition, other gyms give you way better options and are half the price. Rather than trying to cancel and having to pay an extra $340 out of pocket. Would not recommend it personally but you take your chances.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this was so unacceptable. The gym decided to let go of all of there instructors and under pay them and over charge the attendees for classes on top of there membership without any notice. I have been teaching for years and never have seen such a thing. It just seems like they want to close by making drastic changes.

Anytime Fitness in Avon Park is closed for renovation. This is necessary but today is the day that we were told it would be reopening. Can't find anything on the website. The phone goes to answering machine and know one calls back. What is happening?
Very poor customer service.
New addition to review.
Took off another star. Closed for 2 weeks to fix bathrooms. Now open with only 1 working bathroom. Is this location going to close? Lots if clients use this gym. 1 bathroom isn't enough.

They closed for about 15 days due a remodelation, they charged us for the whole month and when they reopen they didn't do nothing. The only thing that we saw it is that they have 3 restrooms one is remodeling for about 5 months and they closed another one, leaving only 1 restroom available. They should return half of the monthly charges. They gave us a list of other gyms to go but not all people have car and also where in another cities more further.

Horrible drove all the way down there to join no staff on site sat outside ringing the bell for 20 minutes left and join a different gym
