"Visiting Kanha Kisli Tiger Reserve has been a childhood dream come true, and experiencing it for the first time was nothing short of magical. As I entered the outskirts of the jungle, the intense summer heat instantly felt less harsh thanks to the deep, cooling canopy of the forest. I’ve never been a fan of hot summers, but this was different – the jungle’s embrace made it bearable.

Staying at a jungle resort deep in the wild, I had low expectations regarding the amenities, but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was top-notch, far exceeding what I could have imagined, and the setting was breathtaking. It truly elevated the entire experience.

The jungle safari was pure ecstasy—an indescribable, once-in-a-lifetime moment that still gives me goosebumps. The reserve is a pristine, plastic-free zone, and I loved the effort to preserve the jungle’s flora and fauna. The cool, breathable, and pollution-free air was rejuvenating; I found myself inhaling deeply, trying to capture that freshness within me.

This visit was more than just a trip; it was a journey into nature that left me feeling energized, relaxed, and closer to the wilderness than ever before. Kanha Kisli is a must-visit for nature lovers—it’s a soul-stirring experience I will cherish forever."

My visit to Kanha National Park was overall a great experience. I opted for the evening safari from 4 PM to 7 PM, which provided a beautiful backdrop as the sun began to set. The lush greenery and diverse wildlife were truly captivating. During the safari, I saw deer, monkeys, and peacocks in their natural habitat, which was wonderful. However, I was a bit disappointed not to spot a tiger, which I had been looking forward to.
If you're planning a visit, make sure to arrive a day before to secure your permit, whether you prefer the early morning batch (6 AM to 11 AM), evening batch, or night batch. The jeep charges were about 7,000 INR for up to 7 people, while the tender charges were 2,000 INR per person. These prices can vary slightly depending on the season and days.
A few tips: bring plenty of water and some fast food, as the safari can be long and you'll need to stay hydrated and energized. Also, cover your face well, as the roads are quite dusty, made up of sand and stones, which can be quite uncomfortable if you're not prepared. Despite the dust and the elusive tiger, the experience was memorable and well worth it.

Place that must be in ur list to visit. If someone comes then go for the core zone safari instead of the buffer zone. For that either book in advance online or come one day earlier. Pls avoid the Buffer zone visit it's just a waste of money

During this trip, we undertook 3 safari trips in Mukki zone of Kanha and we sighted tigresses and cubs in every trip. We also sighted Barasingha, Sambar, Wild boar, Gaur, Mongoose, Monitors etc. The forest (foliage) was really beautiful.

Kanha Tiger Reserve, located in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is one of the premier national parks in India, renowned for its rich biodiversity and efforts in tiger conservation. Spanning approximately 940 square kilometers, it is part of the larger Kanha-Kisli Protected Area and includes the Kanha National Park and the Kisli National Park.

Established in 1955, Kanha is a significant player in the Project Tiger initiative launched in 1973 to protect the endangered Bengal tiger. The reserve’s landscape is a mosaic of lush sal forests, open grasslands, and dense bamboo thickets, providing a diverse habitat for wildlife. The reserve is home to around 80 tigers, with other notable residents including leopards, sloth bears, Indian wild dogs (dholes), and a rich array of herbivores such as sambar deer, swamp deer, and the endangered Barasingha (swamp deer).

Kanha’s well-maintained network of safari trails allows visitors to explore the park's stunning scenery and spot wildlife in their natural habitat. The reserve's conservation efforts are aimed at preserving not only tigers but also their habitat and the ecological balance of the area. The park is also involved in local community programs to promote sustainable practices and reduce human-wildlife conflicts.
